Welding bolts, as an important mechanical connecting component, play an irreplaceable role in modern industrial manufacturing, construction, energy, transportation and other fields. It combines threaded fastening function with welding technology, combining high strength, reliability, and convenience, becoming the preferred connection solution in many engineering scenarios.
1、 Definition and structural characteristics of welding bolts
1. Basic Definition
Welding bolts are fasteners that permanently fix bolts to the connected parts through welding processes. Unlike traditional nut fastening methods, it directly fuses the bolt stem or end with the base material to form an integrated connection structure, avoiding the risk of loosening and saving installation space.
2. Core structure
Bolt body: usually made of carbon steel, alloy steel or stainless steel material, with a hexagonal or circular head and a standard thread on the stem.
Welding part: According to design requirements, it can be divided into full section welding or partial welding. The welding area is bonded to the base metal through a molten pool, forming a metallurgical connection.
Surface treatment: To enhance anti-corrosion performance, galvanizing, nickel plating, hot-dip coating or coating treatment are often used.

1. Steel structure engineering
In bridges, high-rise buildings, and factory steel frames, welding bolts are used to connect steel beams and node plates. Its outstanding shear resistance can withstand dynamic loads while avoiding nut loosening caused by vibration.

Body frame: Resistance welded bolts are used for white body splicing, reducing the number of rivets and improving automation production efficiency.
Chassis system: High strength welded bolt fixed suspension components, resistant to road impact and corrosive environments.
3. Energy equipment
Wind turbine tower: Full section welded bolted connection flange, capable of withstanding extreme wind loads and temperature differences.
Pressure vessels: Austenitic stainless steel welded bolts are used in petrochemical reaction vessels to prevent medium corrosion.
4. Rail Transit
The pre embedded welding bolts of high-speed rail track plates need to withstand high-frequency train vibrations and wheel rail impact forces, and their fatigue strength directly affects train safety.
